During this time of year, most of us can use an energy “reset.”
How do you know if you need one?
Well, if you’re feeling overwhelmed or stuck (like many of us!) there’s a good chance you need an energy reset, too. 😊
This is a little exercise that I find works for me whenever I’m feeling stuck or in need of a change. Although I often use it while I’m practicing yoga, it’s something that can be done quickly and easily, at any time, and from anywhere.

Close your eyes if you can. Imagine you can sense all the cells in your body. Now “see” your cells caked with dirt and grime – those are the worries, fears, and anxieties you’re holding onto. All of those things that are blocking your energy systems and weighing you down.
Now imagine that layer of dirt and grime has a color—sooty black or bright pink—whatever works for you. That color represents the blocks in your energy. Once you “see” your cells with that layer of worry and anxiety caked into them, imagine that layer lifting off of your body and dissolving into the air.
With every exhale is the intention of releasing toxins from your cells.
Breathe deeply as you repeat this, over and over, until you can imagine your cells clean and empty, full of potential and possibility.
Once that layer of color has “lifted” from your cells, what’s left behind are “open” cells, ready to experience life and to embrace those changes you’d like to make. Fear and anxiety have melted away. 😉
Simple? Yup. Easy? You bet! Effective…? Yes! If you imagine the stress of the season melting away, it will. At least for a moment or two.
This is just one quick, simple way to “reset” your energy, help open blockages, and prepare you for the new year to come.
